Ima Discreet Lady rallies to take the Yellow Rose Stakes

Daughter of Discreet Cat successfully defends her title on Texas Champions Day

Ima Discreet Lady rallied from just off the pace to win the Yellow Rose Stakes by a neck at Sam Houston Race Park March 20. The six-furlong sprint was the closing feature on the Texas Champions Day card at Sam Houston.

Ima Discreet Lady was the second Stakes winner on the card for her sire, Discreet Cat. One race earlier his daughter Discreet Smile captured the San Jacinto Turf Stakes.

Ima Discreet Lady has earned over $350,000 in her career and has notched six Stakes wins, including back-to-back editions of the Yellow Rose.

Ima Discreet Lady was bred in Texas by Larry S. Huntsinger and races for Todd R. White and Duane Coker. Ima Discreet Lady is out of Ima Three Blinger, a multiple Stakes-placed daughter of Too Much Bling.

Discreet Cat is the sire of 35 Stakes winners. In addition to Ima Discreet Lady and Discreet Smile, the stallion has sired Secret Spice, winner of the G1 Beholder Mile; Trenchtown Cat, winner of the Sanibel Island and Ana T. Stakes and Discreet Angel, a two-time Champion in Puerto Rico.
