Ima Discreet Lady victorious once again in the Yellow Rose Stakes

Discreet Cat mare takes top honors for the third straight year at Sam Houston Race Park

Ima Discreet Lady came from just off the pace to win the Yellow Rose Stakes by a widening length at Sam Houston Race Park on Saturday, 26 March.

It was the third straight victory in the Yellow Rose Stakes for the six-year-old Discreet Cat mare, and the second straight win this year.

Ima Discreet Lady tracked the leaders from third, as she saved ground along the inside rail through the early stages of the race. She was swung two-wide in the stretch and rallied strongly to overtake the leaders to earn the victory.

Ima Discreet Lady was bred in Texas by Larry S. Huntsinger and races for Todd R. White and Duane Coker. Ima Discreet Lady is out of Ima Three Blinger, a multiple Stakes-placed daughter of Too Much Bling. Ima Three Blinger has also produced the promising Ima Sky Traveler, a Stakes-placed three-year-old by Sky Mesa.

Discreet Cat is the sire of 36 Stakes winners. In addition to Ima Discreet Lady the stallion has sired Secret Spice, winner of the G1 Beholder Mile; Trenchtown Cat, winner of the Sanibel Island and Ana T. Stakes and Discreet Angel, a two-time Champion in Puerto Rico.
