Do The Dance surprises in Kathryn Crosby Stakes

Daughter of Discreet Cat goes wire-to-wire to earn first Stakes win

Do The Dance took the lead right out of the starting gate and never looked back as she raced to a three-quarter length victory in the Kathryn Crosby Stakes on the opening day of Del Mar’s ‘Bing Crosby Meet’.

It was the first Stakes victory for the three-year-old daughter of Discreet Cat, who has now earned $185,015 in her career.

Bred in Kentucky by Lester Kwok and Dr. Naoya Yoshida, Do The Dance is out of winning A.P. Indy mare, Loure. Do The Dance’s second dam is Loving Pride, winner of the G3 Prix d’Aumale, and dam of Champion Steeplechaser, Demonstrative (by Elusive Quality).

Discreet Cat is the sire of 23 individual Stakes winners. Among his three G1 winners is Dads Caps, who landed the Carter Handicap two years in a row.
