Sixth Graded winner for Street Sense

Ice Cream Silence takes G3 Doubledogdare Stakes at Keeneland

Street Sense was the sire of a sixth Graded Stakes winner April 19 when four-year-old Ice Cream Silence was victorious in Keeneland's G3 Doubledogdare Stakes. The daughter of Street Sense was a winner of the Optimistic Gal Stakes at Churchill Downs as a three-year-old.

In the one-and-one-sixteenth mile race the filly dashed to the front to set the pace. Entering the stretch Ice Cream Silence pushed on when challenged, and cleared away to win.

A homebred for G. Watts Humphrey Jr., Ice Cream Silence is out of Graded Stakes-placed Double Scoop, by Seeking the Gold. The mare is a half-sister to the dam of G2 winner Adriano, and is out of G1 Santa Oaks winner Golden Treat, a half-sister to Classic winner Bet Twice.

Street Sense is currently represented by unbeaten multiple Graded Stakes winner Unlimited Budget, G2-winning filly Aubby K, and G3 Skip Away Stakes winner Cigar Street. He has a total of 21 Stakes horses to date, with 13 of them Graded/Group runners. A son of talented sire Street Cry, Street Sense was the only horse to ever win both the G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile and G1 Kentucky Derby.
