Sensible Lady does it again in Buckland Stakes

Street Sense filly wins at Colonial Downs

Four-year-old Street Sense filly Sensible Lady won the Buckland Stakes at Colonial Downs for the second year in a row. In the five-and-one-half-furlong turf race Sensible Lady patiently positioned herself in fourth, off the pace. Traveling wide at the top of the stretch, Sensible Lady drove down the lane and snatched another win.

This was the sixth Stakes victory for the daughter of Street Sense, who most recently repeated in The Very One Stakes at Pimlico. Sensible Lady is the first foal for Awesome Lady, a multiple Stakes winner and Graded-placed mare by Bianconi. She was bred in Kentucky by Spendthrift Farm, LLC.

A winner of the G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile and G1 Kentucky Derby, Street Sense has had a terrific year. His top runners this year include G1 Humana Distaff winner Aubby K and multiple Graded Stakes winner and G1 Kentucky Oaks-placed Unlimited Budget. He has sired six Graded Stakes winners from his first two crops of runners.
