Palace Malice, who stood his first season in Japan last year, has been simply exceptional with his Japanese runners and on Sunday, 23 November his outstanding son Jantar Mantar added a fourth G1 victory to his record in the Mile Championship at Kyoto
Drawn wide, Jantar Mantar was settled in third and always travelling well, unleashed a devastating turn of foot once entering the home straight to win by a length and three quarters.
Jantar Mantar won the G1 Asahi Futurity Stakes at two, before winning the G1 NHK Mile Cup the following year. Earlier this season, he added a third top-flight win to his record in the Yasuda Kinen.
Owned and bred by Shadai, Jantar Mantar is the first foal out of the US G3 winner India Mantuana (Wilburn).
Palace Malice won the G1 Belmont Stakes by over three lengths and the G1 Metropolitan Handicap at four. He is the sire of 16 Stakes winners to date, including Mink’s Palace and Palacein earlier in 2025.
