The winners keep coming for Pyro!

Shigeru Kaga storms to victory to become the latest impressive performer for his first-season sire

Pyro has made a fantastic start with his first runners and on 4 August he increased his number of winners to six and looked to have another star in the making when Shigeru Kaga easily won over 1200m at Kokura.

His two-and-a-half-length victory has earned him a step up in class for his next start, where he will aim to become Pyro’s first Group winner in the G3 Kokura Nisai Stakes, due to take place on 1 September.

Bred by Shigeru Morinaka, Shigeru Kaga is out of the winning Shanghai mare Allegrezza.

Pyro, the winner of G1 Forego Stakes who was also placed in the G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile, is also sire of record-breaking JRA winner Louis Kazuma, plus unbeaten fillies Rinno For Maria and Missy Trick.
