New Stakes winner for Storming Home

Teehaff lands the Listed Aoi Stakes at Kyoto

Storming Home recorded a new Stakes winner on 12 May, when his three-year-old son Teehaff took the Listed Aoi Stakes at Kyoto.

Winning the 1200m contest by a neck, Teehaff increased his number of victories to four. He gained his first Black type last July, when finishing third in the G3 Hakodate Nisai Stakes.

Bred by Darley, Teehaff is out of the winning Green Desert mare Birjand, making him a half-brother to Dubawi’s multiple G1 winner Lucky Nine and a full-brother to another of Storming Home’s Stakes performers in Sudden Storm. His second dam is G1 winner Belle Genius.

Storming Home is also sire of G1 winners Jakkalberry and Lion Tamer, plus fellow Group winners Flying Cloud, Empire Storm and Pero.

He stands at Darley in Japan at a fee of 1.5 million yen.
