Louis Kazuma strikes at Chukyo

Son of Pyro wins in a record time

Pyro sired his first JRA winner at Chukyo on Sunday July 21 and he could not have been more impressive. Louis Kazuma, a juvenile colt, won his maiden over the 1200m dirt trip by three-and-a-half lengths in a new record time.

Bred by Grand Stud, Louis Kazuma is out of the three-time winning Theatre Suzuka mare Grand Whistle, who also has a full-brother yearling to Louis Kazuma and is back in foal again to Pyro this season.

Pyro, winner of the G1 Forego Stakes, has now sired four individual winners in his first crop, with a trio of fillies making up the number, all of which are unbeaten on their only start; Shark Fang; Rinno For Maria and Missy Trick.
