First US-bred Pyro foal born

Gone West mare Tres Tres Joli gives birth to a chesnut colt in Kentucky

Darley Japan stallion Pyro had his first foal born in the U.S. on March 6 when the Gone West mare Tres Tres Joli gave birth to a chesnut colt.

Bred by Runnymede farm, his dam is an unraced daughter of the G3 winner Silver Tornado, herself a half-sister to G1 winners El Corredor and Roman Ruler and G1 Hopeful Stakes third, Maimonides.

Pyro, who stands this season for 1.8 million yen, was the winner of five races including the G1 Forego Stakes and is by the same sire as star stallion Tapit.
