Winners keep coming for Admire Moon

Second of the weekend brings tally to 15; Leo Active finishes third in G1 company

Admire Moon’s good weekend continued when Kineo Puma became his 15th winner of the campaign with victory in a conditions race over a mile at Nakayama. The colt is out of One-Eyed Bamboo and is the third winner by the young Darley stallion from a Brian’s Time mare.

On the same card, Admire Moon’s G2-winning son Leo Active was placed third in the G1 Asahi Hai Futurity Stakes, which is also run over a mile.

This followed on from victory yesterday for Wing The Moon, who landed a maiden at Hansin.

A hugely successful start to his stallion career has seen Admire Moon sire 15 first-crop winners in 2011, including the G3 Hakodate Nisai Stakes winner Fine Choice and the dual winner Snowdon, who also lined up in Sunday’s Group 1 race.
