Panja Tower, a three-year-old son of Tower Of London, became his sires first G1 winner on Sunday, 11 May when winning the NHK Mile Cup at Tokyo. Facing 17 rivals, he battled gamely in the straight to get the better of Magic Sands by a head.
Making only his fifth career start, Panja Tower had won his first two starts as a juvenile including the G2 Keio Hai Nisai Stakes over 1400m at Tokyo.
Bred by Champions Farm, Panja Tower is the first winner bred out of Clarksdale, a relative of top-flight performers Songline and Deirdre.
Tower Of London was crowned Japan’s Champion sprinter as a four-year-old. His debut crop have now turned three and also include Group-performer Arlington Row.
