Talismanic sires his first winner

Masano Chance wins over 1000m at Monbetsu

Breeders’ Cup hero Talismanic sired his first winner on Thursday, 26 May when his first-crop son Masano Chance scored on his second career start in Monbetsu. Facing 10 rivals, Talismanic’s first runner had little trouble winning the 1000m dirt contest by one length, with a gaping six lengths back to the third.

Bred by Masahito Kobayashi, he is the first foal of the placed Henny Hughes mare T Up Aria, a half-sister to four winners including Furioso’s 2022 winner Red Archer.

The winner of eight races, Talismanic enjoyed his biggest day at Del Mar in 2017 when landing the G1 Breeders’ Cup Turf, beating top-class performers Bech Patrol and Highland Reel. Talismanic is covering this season at a fee of 1.8 million yen.
