Plenty to Admire

Wing The Moon becomes the 14th winner for Admire Moon

On a weekend when three members of his first crop will be running in the G1 Asahi Hai Futurity Stakes, Admire Moon was responsible for yet another winner when Wing The Moon won the 1600m maiden at Hanshin.

The two-year-old is a daughter of the Storm Cat mare Winged Cat and is the 14th winner overall and the sixth filly by her sire to lose the maiden tag.

On Sunday, Admire Moon’s runners in the mile Group 1 contest at Nakayama are G2 winner Leo Active, Hakusan Moon and dual winner Snowdon.

Fellow Darley Japan resident Storming Home is also represented by his two-year-old son Sudden Storm, a half-brother to last weekend’s G1 Hong Kong Sprint winner Lucky Nine, by Darley's British-based stallion Dubawi.
