New winner for Rule Of Law

Hapy Shin becomes the third winner for her sire; Alkaased's Maltese Kite records his first JRA victory

Making just her third racecourse appearance, Hapy Shin became the third winner for Rule Of Law after success in the 1200m maiden at Kokura.

The two-year-old filly is a daughter of the Black Tie Affair mare Francesca and made her debut in July over course and distance to finish third. Improving on that run, she was second back at the same track on 7 August before securing her first victory on 4 September.

Rule Of Law, an English Classic-winning son of Kingmambo, has his first-crop runners this season and has already sired two previous winners, both colts. Ryoma Nippon, out of the Singspiel mare Dinner Party, is unbeaten in two starts, while King Rocky, a son of Suzu Love Motion, by Forty Niner, has also raced twice and won on his debut at Himeji in May.

A day later, Alkaased's three-year-old son Maltese Kite recorded his third victory and his first on the JRA circuit when running out the three-and-a-half-length winner of the nine-furlong Winners' race on the dirt at Niigata.

Bred by Reiji Amaba in Hidaka Cho, Maltese Kite is out of the French Deputy mare Misty French.
