Luna Fontana becomes the 24th winner for her talented young sire

Admire Moon enjoyed an outstanding year with his first crop of runners in 2011, and his success is continuing this year with no fewer than 14 winners on the board already.

Luna Fontana became the latest winner for her sire, winning the 1400m maiden at Kyoto on 17th May, becoming his 24th winner from his first crop.

Owned and bred by Darley, Luna Fontana is the ninth winner from nine foals to race out of Fursa (Mr Prospector), who is also dam of G1 winner Furioso.

Admire Moon, who stands at Darley in Japan at a fee of 4 million yen, is also sire of an impressive five Black type performers including G2 winner and G1-placed colt Leo Active and G3-winning filly Fine Choice.
