New Stakes winner for King’s Best

Navajo Chief lands Hambleton Stakes at York

Darley stallion King's Best recorded a new Stakes winner on 16 May, when his son Navajo Chief ran out the impressive winner of the Listed Hambleton Stakes, run over 1600m at York in the UK.

This was the seventh career win for the Alan Jarvis-trained gelding, who has also been victorious at Meydan, and he has won every season he has raced.

Bred by Eurostrait Limited, Navajo Chief is out of the Rainbow Quest mare Navajo Rainbow, a half-sister to G1 winner Mus-If.

King’s Best, who is currently standing his first season in Japan, is sire of eight G1 winners including outstanding Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe and record-breaking winner Workforce, and Japanese Derby and Tenno Sho winner Eishin Flash. He stands at a fee of 1.5 million yen.
