Listed victory for Fantastic Light filly

British-bred Tottie triumphs in America

Tottie, a four-year-old daughter of Fantastic Light, won the Listed Omnibus Stakes at Monmouth Park on Saturday to record her second Stakes victory of the year.

Bred by Lawn Stud from the Cambridgeshire winner Katy Nowaitee (Komaite), Tottie started her racing career in Britain, winning a Brighton maiden and finishing third in the Lingfield Oaks Trial before making a successful switch to the US as a four-year-old.

She won the G3 Suwannee River Stakes at Gulfstream Park in February and was third in the G3 Matchmaker Stakes three weeks ago.

Fantastic Light's other black-type performers in 2010 include the Darley Australia-bred Group Two winner and Group One-placed Briliant Light, Oaks d'Italia runner-up Middle Club and the Group-placed Glowing Praise.
