Leo Active strikes in Nigata's Toki Stakes

Admire Moon's G2 winner back to winning ways

Leo Active returned to winning ways on Saturday, beating 17 rivals to land the Toki Stakes (Open) at Nigata.

Sent off second favourite, the three-year-old son of Admire Moon displayed an impressive turn of foot to take the 1400m contest by a length from San Diego City.

Bred by Taniguchi Bokujo, Leo Active is out of Leo Soleil, by Opera House. He won his maiden over 1200m at Nakayama last July before winning the G2 Keio Hai Nisai Stakes at Tokyo in November. He was also third in the G1 Asahi Hai Futurity Stakes the following month.

Admire Moon is the sire of seven stakes horses, including Grade Three winner Fine Choice and the Listed winners Sacred Reve and At Will.
