Hakusan Moon records his third win in style

Son of Admire Moon romps to a five-length victory at Hanshin

Three-year-old colt Hakusan Moon was one of his young sire Admire Moon’s early winners, breaking his maiden on his racecourse debut last December and on 11 June, he recorded his third career victory in the best possible fashion.

The Masato Nishizono-trained colt landed the 1200m conditions race by no fewer than five lengths to take his tally of victories for 2012 to two, having won over the same distance at Nakayama on 15 January.

Bred by Shirai Stud Farm, Hakusan Moon is the first foal to race out of the multiple winner Ciliege, herself a daughter of Black type performer Megami Guerlain.
Admire Moon, who stands at Darley in Japan at a fee of 4 million yen, is sire of 24 individual winners to date, including five Black type performers in Leo Active, Fine Choice, Sacred Reve, Archimedes and Golden Moon.
