Hakusan Moon lands G3 Keihan Hei

Son of Admire Moon becomes the third Group winner for his young sire

Hakusan Moon, who won on his very first start at two and has been victorious on four occasions since, recorded his first Group victory on 24 November when landing the G3 Keihan Hei.

The three-year-old colt took the 1200m contest at Kyoto by a head from G2 performer Admire Sceptre, with Supreme Gift a further half-length back in third.

Bred by Shirai Stud Farm, Hakusan Moon is out of the five-time winner Ciliege, herself a daughter of Black type performer Megami Guerlain.

Admire Moon has enjoyed an outstanding second season, siring no fewer than 49 individual winners and seven Black type performers.
