G3 success for Admire Moon colt

Leo Active notches his fourth victory

Admire Moon’s leading performer Leo Active added another Graded victory to his résumé on Sunday when winning the G3 Kesei Hai Autumn Handicap over a mile at Nakayama.

The three-year-old colt got the better of seven-year-old Smile Jack by a length and a quarter to set a new course record time of 1:30.7 and record back-to-back victories, having scored a Listed success at Niigata a fortnight earlier.

Bred by Taniguchi Bokujo, Leo Active is out of Leo Soleil, a daughter of Opera House. He has now won four of his 11 starts, including the G2 Keio Hai Futurity Stakes last November, and has been placed on a further four occasions.

Admire Moon is the sire of seven black-type horses. Among his best representatives are the Grade Three winner Fine Choice, and Listed winners Sacred Reve and At Will.
