Fumino Moon wins the Marguerite Stakes

Son of Admire Moon easily scores at Hanshin

Fumino Moon, a three-year-old son of Admire Moon, landed his biggest career success on Sunday April 5 when running out the easy winner of the Marguerite Stakes at Hanshin. Run over 1400m on soft turf, he easily disposed of his rivals by two-and-a-half lengths, with the same distance back to the third. Only making his debut in October of last season, Fumino Moon has now won half of his six starts.

Bred by Saitotakeshi Bukujo, Fumino Moon is out of the winning Thunder Gulch mare Fumino Cinderella and a half-brother to five-time winner Fumino Fortune.

Admire Moon, who stands for 2.5 million yen in 2015, is the sire of nine Stakes winners including G2w Hakusan Moon, who ran a close second in the G1 Takamatsunomiya Kinen last weekend, and fellow Group winners Leo Active, Archimedes and Fine Choice.
