Fumino Moon strikes at Fukushima

Son of Admire Moon lands the Baden-Baden Cup

Fumino Moon, a five-year-old son of Admire Moon, won his second Stakes race on Sunday 16 July when landing the Listed Baden-Baden Cup. Run over 1200m on Fukushima’s turf track, he was making his first start since January, in the process recording his sixth victory in 18 career starts.

Bred by Saitotakeshi Bukujo, Fumino Moon is out of the winning Thunder Gulch mare Fumino Cinderella and a half-brother to seven-time winner Fumino Fortune and last year's winning three-year-old Meisho Bandai.

Admire Moon is the sire of 26 Stakes performers including G1-winner Seiun Kosei, winner of the Takamatsunomiya Kinen at Chukyo in March, and fellow Group winners Hakusan Moon, Leo Active, Archimedes and Fine Choice.
