First winner for American Patriot

Breathlessly strikes on debut at Chukyo

First season sire American Patriot got off the mark on Sunday, 6 June when Breathlessly became his first winner at Chukyo. Making her debut in a 1400m turf maiden, the Godolphin homebred filly made all the running to win by one-and-a-quarter lengths.

Breathlessly is the second foal, and first winner, bred out of the winning Commands mare Hush, who hails from the extended family of Cape Cross, Iffraaj and Night Of Thunder’s recent G1 winner Kukeracha. Hush also has a colt foal by Talismanic and has been covered by Thunder Snow this season.

American Patriot is a son of outstanding stallion War Front and from the family of Champion Symboli Kris S. After winning the G3 Kent Stakes as a three-year-old, he became a G1-winning miler at four in the Maker’s 46 Mile. He is covering this season at a fee of 1,500,000 Yen.
