First Stakes victory for son of Furioso

Taiki Ferveur lands the Shiwasu Stakes at Nakayama

Taiki Ferveur, a son of Furioso, landed his first Stakes victory on Saturday, 12 December when taking the Listed Shiwasu Stakes over 1800m at Nakayama. Held up last in the dirt contest, he swept to the front in the straight to record an easy one-and-a-half length victory.

Lightly raced for a five-year-old, he has now won five times in a 13-race career with earnings of over 81,000,000 Yen.

Bred by Victory Horse Ranch, Taiki Ferveur is out of the Any Given Saturday mare Ashbery, who descends from the G1-winning US performer Sugar And Spice.

Furioso is enjoying his best season yet, siring the winners of over 200 races including Open race scorers Peisha Wild, Furi Time, Dharmawangsa, Top Level, Tokino Nozomi, New Hope and Neo Brave.
