First Japan-bred winner for Fantastic Light

Taisei Phamtom wins at Hakodate, two JRA winners for Alkaased in one day

Darley Japan stallion Fantastic Light (pictured) sired his first Japan-bred winner on 4 July when Taisei Phantom landed the 1200m newcomer race at Hakodate.

Settled just off the lead, the two-year-old colt moved towards the front rounding the home turn and battled magnificently down the straight to win by a short head.

Bred by Bandam Bokuju in Urawaka, Tasei Phantom is out of Taiki Charade (Boundary), a half-sister to G1 NHK Mile Cup winner Taiki Fortune.

A day earlier, Alkaased recorded two JRA winners one the same day when Sunday Muse flew home to win over a mile at Hanshin and just an hour later, Jo Pride became her sire’s 26th winner when running out the impressive winner of the 1700m allowance race on the dirt at Hakodate.

Sunday Muse was bred by Darley Japan Farm in Hidaka co and is out of the Sunday Silence mare Sculptress, who is closely related to King’s Trail and Happy Path.

Jo Pride, bred by Happy Nemo Farm in Urakawa-cho, is out of the Fusaichi Concorde mare Jo Psykhe.
