First Group winner for Admire Moon

Fine Choice remains unbeaten to take the Hakodate Nisai Stakes

Japan’s leading first-season sire Admire Moon celebrated his first Group winner on Sunday when Fine Choice sprinted home to take the 1200m G3 Hakodate Nisai Stakes by two lengths.

Now with two wins from two runs, the juvenile filly out of the Taiki Shuttle mare Affrettata won her maiden over course and distance on 23 July and is one of four winners for her young sire, including Leo Active, who has won and placed twice in three starts. On his most recent appearance he finished runner-up in a conditions race at Nigata on Saturday.

The Admire Moon fillies Exoplanet and Mahogany have both won on debut.
