Fifth winner for Admire Moon

Golden Moon wins on debut at Kokura

Last weekend Admire Moon sired his first Group winner through his impressive daughter Fine Choice, and six days on he took his tally to five individual winners when his daughter Golden Moon won the 1200m Newcomer race at Kokura. Facing 14 rivals, she won by a neck with one-and-a-quarter lengths back to the third.

Bred by Okawa Bokujo, she is out of the stakes-placed Assatis mare Top Sunkist and a half-sister to Unicorn Stakes winner Top Of World.

Admire Moon, who stands at Darley Japan for 3.5 million yen, has also sired a stakes-placed juvenile as well as his G3-winner through Leo Active, who was second in the Listed Dahlia Sho last weekend. The Japanese horse of the year, Admire Moon was the victor of three G1 races including the Japan Cup and Dubai Duty Free in Dubai.
