Fifth victory for Wing The Moon
Daughter of Admire Moon takes the Iwashimizu Stakes at Kyoto
Wing The Moon, from the the first crop of Admire Moon, took her career win tally to five on Sunday January 26 when taking the 1400m Iwashimizu Stakes at Kyoto. A very consistent mare, she has only been unplaced once in nine races since the beginning of 2013.
Owned and bred by Kohso Bokujo, Wing The Moon is out of the Storm Cat mare Winged Cat, a half-sister to Champion US filly Ajina and a close relative of four-time US G1 winner Quality Road (Elusive Quality).
Admire Moon's first-crop consists of 60 winners and seven Stakes performers including G1-colts Hakusan Moon and Leo Active and the progressive G3-winner Archimedes, winner of his last four starts in 2013.
