Fifth victory for Daishin Thunder

Son of Admire Moon lands the Nishiki Stakes at Kyoto

Daishin Thunder, a son of Admire Moon, saluted the judge for the fifth time on Saturday 14 May when taking the one mile Nishiki Stakes run on turf at Kyoto. The winner of over 90,000,000 Yen, he was adding to his victory in the Toyokawa Tokubetsu as a three-year-old and his successes in the Kitaoji Tokubetsu and Shimogamo Stakes last season.

Bred by Grand Stud, Daishin Thunder is a full brother to the multiple winner Hayabusa Gets and is out of the winning Manhattan Cafe mare Ichigo Ichie.

Admire Moon reached his highest ever sire ranking in 2015, with his Stakes winners and Group horses featuring three-year-olds Fumino Moon and Moon Express. He stands this season at a fee of 2 million yen.
