Fantastic Light sires his eighth Japanese winner

Alkaased continues to add to his total with two winners on Sunday

Fantastic Light's first Japanese-bred crop are now two and have been quick to make an impression on the racecourse and on 26 September, Kitasan Kamuiden became his eighth individual winner in Japan.

The Naosuke Sugai-trained colt landed the one-mile newcomers race at Hanshin by a neck from Smart Robin, with Zenno Ruggero a further length and a half back in third. Bred by Tsuchida Nojo in Shin-Hidaka-cho, Kitasan Kamuiden was sold to Ono Shoji at the HBA Selection Sale in 2009 for 30 million yen and is out of the Hector Protector mare Platina Heart.

Also on Sunday, Alkaased recorded a JRA double when HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed’s homebred filly Sunday Muse was victorious over nine furlongs at Hanshin, while at Nakayama, Orionza Alpha beat his paternal half-brother Just The Season by half a length to win the nine-furlong allowance race.

Sunday Muse is out of the Sunday Silence mare Sculptress, a half-sister to multiple Stakes winner Happy Look.

Orionza Alpha was bred by Kawakami Bokujo in Niikappu-cho and is out of the Maruzensky mare Most Family.
