Alkaased records his 21st first-crop winner

Darley Japan sire Alkaased recorded the 21st winner from his first crop on 29 May, when Go To The Milano justified favouritism to take the 2300m maiden at Tokyo Racecourse.

Settled off the sedate early pace, Go To The Milano was settled on the inside and making his move at the top of the straight, took up the running and ran on impressively to win by half a length.

Bred in Shin Hidaka Cho by Okada Bokujo, Go To The Milano is out of the Persian Bold mare Sopran Mariduff and having clearly relished the step up in trip for this race, looks to have inherited his sire's preference for Championship distances.
