Record-breaking Stakes win for daughter of Pyro

Appealing Look lands Nagoya Daishoten at Nagoya

Leading dirt sire Pyro rounded off another successful year on Wednesday, 24 December when his daughter Appealing Look set a new track record when winning the Listed (JPN3) Nagoya Daishoten at Nagoya.

This was the second Black Type victory for the four-year-old filly, who won the Listed Brazil Cup in October. She now has six victories to her name and a further three placed efforts.

Appealing Look was bred by Shiraoi Farm and Shadai and is out of the multiple winner Bright Living (Wild Rush), from the family of G1-winning Champion juvenile Exciting Story.

Pyro is also sire this year of fellow Stakes winners Meisho Hario and Pyromancer and remains a consistent sire of top-class dirt performers. He has had a superb year with his two-year-olds, with 23 winning juveniles in 2025.

Pyro stands at a fee of 4 million yen.
